Ravi Kumar

My name is RAVI KUMAR MANDAWARIYA, and I'm from Amer, Jaipur (Rajasthan). Charcoal has been my favorite medium for painting. I've been working with charcoal since 2015, but since the beginning of 2018, I've been creatively and artistically painting human emotional faces in charcoal. I continue to create creative paintings even today. I'm deeply influenced by Indian Rasa theory and art philosophy; I've incorporated these nine Indian Rasas and their expressions into my art style.

I began my artistic career drawing newspaper cartoons. I began my creative pursuits in college, initially working on still-life illustrations using pencil and pastels, and over time, I created portraits and compositions using watercolor, acrylic, oil, and charcoal. Initially, I began by drawing lines and shading these faces with my fingers. Drawing human faces. My early artworks were created by drawing shapes with bra sheet charcoal and then shading them with my fingers. Over time, after applying acrylic backgrounds to canvas, I have been creatively depicting human facial expressions and thoughts with charcoal. When painting with charcoal, I use my fingers and thumb as brushes to create a coherent pattern in the painting. I have been most influenced by the works of Indian painters Tyeb Mehta and S.N. Souza, and by Western artists like Picasso and Mondrian. The art world is a vast ocean, where every artist is initially influenced by the ideas of a well-known and renowned artist, but over time, they develop their own artistic style and ideas. Artists should work based on their own thoughts, human emotions, and inner understanding. Through their art creations, artists express themselves to the world through their own expressions. It represents new ideas and society. Artists worldwide create works of art on a particular theme. For example, Dali explored the world of motion, Picasso explored human struggles and various situations, Kandinsky explored geometric shapes, and Jackson Palk created abstractions using various colors. Artists define new ideas or understandings in their works. Artists constantly search for material for their art from the material around them. They shape new works with their own discretion and patience from the acquired materials. I, too, have created my works with this same discretion and patience. I have captured the events, celebrations, joys, sorrows, and other things in my life through the depths of my curiosity. Humans use these to fulfill their emotions and aspirations in various stages of life. I have gained something from various stages of life. I have incorporated the emotions that accompanied my life into my works. As an artist, I have realized that The subconscious plays a role in the creation of artworks. Artists incorporate elements that have been part of their lives at some point in their work. The subconscious plays a role in the creation of artworks. Sonal Jain

Welcome to Sourang!
I’m Sonal Jain, an artist who has always believed that every color has a story and every canvas holds a piece of the soul.

Art entered my life as a childhood hobby, and though responsibilities once pulled me away, it eventually returned β€” helping me rediscover myself and transform my passion into a full-time journey. What started as simple expressions of thought and emotion has grown into a profession that continues to shape how I see the world.

Through every stroke, I share not just colors, but reflections of life, emotions, and the lessons I’ve learned β€” and unlearned β€” along the way. Sourang is more than just my collection of artworks; it’s a journey of growth, resilience, and imagination. Alongside creating, I also guide others who wish to explore their own artistic voice, nurturing creativity and confidence through art.

This is only the beginning of a story where art meets emotion, and I invite you to be a part of it β€” to see the world as I see it, one painting, one story, one feeling at a time.
